Computer... Kindergarten -- We have learned to use the mouse by moving it, clicking and double clicking. We have become experts at opening and quitting. We are now learning to use the paint tools in Kid Pix and to use the option and command keys to change the functions of the tools. First grade -- We have just finished working with patterns and are now working on a Science program. We are learning how the weather changes in the different seasons of the year and what animals do in different seasons. Second grade -- Second Grade students have been working on a Quilt Project. The have created a quilt square in a paint program using an environment and an animal in that environment. Research was completed on the internet about their animal at the following sites:
A Word Processing program was used to add the research information to the project. Third grade -- In February,
all third grade students created a Secret Code Valentine card. After
studying Rainforest animals in the classroom, third grade students
chose and researched three different animals on the internet at
the following site: They are now using this information
to create a class HyperStudio stack of Rainforest animals. Fifth grade -- Fifth grade students are creating HyperStudio stacks on either a food or their Science Fair project. Sixth grade -- Sixth grade students are creating HyperStudio stacks on either an endangered animal or a country or the human body. |
